Kaylyn Bourque attended the Summit Speaker Series in partnership with Colby College and the Maine Sports Commission powered by the Maine Girls & Women in Sports Committee. Kaylyn attended the event with her mom and Greg Glynn, Athlete Brand Advisor & CEO of Pliable who told her about the event.
The presentation by Kacey Bellamy was in observance of National Girls & Women in Sports Day and in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the passing of Title IX. National Girls & Women in Sports Day is recognized the first Wednesday of February, established by the Women’s Sports Foundation.
Bellamy is a 3x Olympian and 2018 Olympic Gold Medalist and poet (author of, “Unbroken Heart of Gold”). Bellamy is a fierce competitor, phenomenal teammate, and proven, yet humble, leader. She earned a spot on a remarkable 11 World Championship Teams and has achieved numerous accolades over her 15-year career representing TEAM USA all while living her mantra of “Work Hard, Stay Humble , Be Kind.”
